focus on the business of writing and networking. OIW serves the general
interests of all writers, from novice to seasoned scribe. Our members are
involved in advertising, biography, business communications, children's
literature, consumer affairs, drama, education, fiction and non-fiction,

NOTICE: A
simple way to help our Branch:
The National Capital Region and
towns in its catchment areas have a plethora of newspapers serving the needs
of local readers.
Our new VP - Media Relations wants
to reach as many of these newspapers as possible, to inform them of our
Programs and news items related to CAA Branch members living in their areas.
If community newspapers are
delivered to your home, bundle them up, address them to our VP of Media
Relations, Diana Lariviere, 3
Robert Kemp Street, Ottawa K1T 3W9 and drop them in the mail.
This small act will help us spread
the word about Canadian Authors Association in the region.
EXCITING NEWS:
CAA Ottawa becomes CAA National
Capital Region
Because the area served by
Canadian Authors Association – Ottawa Branch, extends well beyond the
boundaries of the old city of Ottawa
and into the regions, your executive recently applied to the National office
for a name change.
Henceforth, our Branch will be
known as Canadian Authors Association – National Capital Region branch,
to reflect the extent of our reach into the catchment area of the
Nation’s capital, and beyond that into the regions.
Weekly Notices – will resume in September 2010
